O7 DRUM PROJECT

Brand Design and Graphic Design

In partnership with the Testbeds Program from Bedfordshire University, I received intense training for one year to implement the O7 Drum Project in the UK - Project planning, Branding, Budgeting and Management. I Presented the project to the England Art Council and was granted funding.

With that support I was able to design every aspect of the project from the ground up, including the drums that are made with recycled materials like drainage water pipes.

O7 LOGO.png

Logo Design

The letter O and the number 7 make a connection with the original name - Orquestra 7. The design represents a player playing a bass drum and the 3 dots represent the 3 types of drums used in the project.

Characters

Each character represents a player from one of three sections of a standard O7 performance group - bass-drum, Tom tom and scare-drum. When performing, each player uses the t-shirt with the character matching the drum they are playing.

This was inspired by a hand drawing my nephew did when he was 5 years old.

TEAM NEVER SHAKE

Logo Design and Graphic Design

The Martial Arts Academy "Never Shake" asked me to redesign their out-dated logo and to create a promotional image for each one of the martial arts disciplines active at the academy. The logo was used in all of their t-shirts and training shorts and the posters were used in large outdoor prints, flyers and social media.

Logotype Design

I used a iconic movement from Muay Thai as a silhouette to convey strength, movement and direction. The italic lettering follows the silhouette movement with sharp edges. The letters V and A confront each other both in shape and colour as if two fighters in the ring.

A poster Design for each martial art discipline at the Team Never Shake academy.

With a mix of techniques like line-art, painting and overlays, I've tried to express the character and essence of each discipline.

CLARION

CONVERGE 22

The brief was to create three new concepts for our iGB Live! show in July 2022. Converge 22 was the selected concept. The design ranged different formats and sizes, from print to digital. I also designed a animation to use as a teaser before the event.
